Danny Doty

First of all, I have a friend who is currently in CCCF. How I met Dan is a tragic story of how my life was ruined by a "friend" who was a paid informant.

I am a 51 year old grandmother who had a perfectly clean criminal record. Now I am a convicted felon as of 11/05. My case started when at age 45 I broke my back, could no longer work, and became dependant on SSD and legal pain drugs. Since the pain meds cause nausea and vomiting, my doctors also prescribed medical marijuana.

My "friend" Danny Doty, who was himself just out of jail and in trouble again; was homeless, etc. I took him in and fed him for months. But to get himself out of his new trouble, he hounded me for over 4 months to sell him some of my marijuana. Unfortunately I, being very sick and under the influence of many medications, did so. Danny and the cops worked me over for months. Because my criminal record was so clean, I received no jail time, and two years of probation instead.

I know Danny Doty is working the Medford/Ashland area as a paid snitch for the Jackson County cops. His name has been mentioned in the newspaper, and he has been seen "hanging" around known drug areas.

He is approx. 5'8" - 5'10" and weighs about 165 pounds. Sometimes he wears his hair short and other times he wears a small pony tail. He can be clean shaven or wear a goatee type beard. (He likes changing his looks.) His name is Danny Doty and he has a identical twin brother Dale Doty. However, Dale does not look like Danny. Dale is much heavier. They were raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Dale still lives and works there. Danny claims to have MS thereby "needing" the drugs you need to sell him. (Like marijuana in my case.)

Danny seems to work very little and usually wants to mooch off of others. He lives on friend's couches or in his pick up truck. Here in Jackson County the Sheriff's dept is paying him for turning people in. I am pretty sure after me he was responsible for a couple who were arrested in Ashland. He has been seen "hanging" out in the downtown Medford area where drugs are known to be used. I can only assume he is trying to set up others again.

My life has been ruined. I was an avid hunter, shooter, etc. Now I am a convicted felon and my life is over. I want to warn others before this "friend" can take advantage of them also.

Oh, the cops paid Danny $420.00 and dropped his new charges for turning me in.......... That is what my life was worth: $420.00.
